The Vision
The adventurers, after finding the hidden lever that opened up the hidden passageway behind the waterfall, take a moment to relax.
Otfried, Gotrak and Felix suddenly seize up and convulse into fits. It takes just a few moments, during which the threesome receives a disturbing vision (see last post). They regain consciousness and are quite shaken. They have learned that the forces of Chaos have stolen the two Anathema and that there is some kind of link between the aspiring champions of Chaos and themselves, which may or may not have something to do with Mandreds third eye. An animated discussion ensues, involving some thinly veiled threats and some existential philosophy.

Up to the Burial Chambre
Leaving the discussion for a later time, the companions continue exploring the ancient complex. They have several rooms they passed by previous. One of which is the Tomb of Pendrag von Blucher himself. The walls in the hallway leading up to it, depict murals of Pendrag as founder of the Fauslag Scouts & fighter against undead in the time of Nagash. When they enter, a deep echoing voice tells of the lament of his passing. Behind his tomb is a pillar with his helmet on display. A small room beyond that holds a great amount of treasure. The companions loot the most interesting things they can find and carry and return to the corridor where the waterfall was. One of the interesting items Looted is a small flying carpet from ancient Araby. More like a rug or a doormat. None the less it proves very useful. The waterfall has disappeared to reveal a staircase that makes a steep ascent into the Faushlag. It end in a small antechamber where there is nothing else but a square, man sized hole in the ceiling. Using the flying carpet, Lothar investigates.
Confrontation with Klaus Gurtelrose
There is no doubt that the huge hallway that Lothar scopes out is the main throne room of the Necromancer Klaus Gurtelrose. He must have sensed the intrusion in his domain because the large room is filled to the brim with zombies, undead knights and unliving doom wolves. On the far end of the room is a massive throne, holding the despicable, rotting remains of the once celestial wizard turned evil: Klaus! Lothar, Otfried and Mandred make use of their magic to create a foothold at the entrance so the rest can climb up in a more regular fashion.
With blade and spell, the heroes slowly push forward trough the throng. But then, unknown to he rest, disaster strikes. Was it stupidity, oversight or the malicious machinations of Tzeentch himself? Who can tell but Otfried, in the heat of battle forgot, or decided to risk, the curse that lingers in this dungeon and hurls a comet, thus dooming himself. The curse takes hold of him and transforms him with the vile energies of chaos corruption. On his head grows a crown of ears. No one notices as he is wearing the helmet of Pendrag

A new Villain revealed
Slowly but surely, the adventurers come closer to the necromancer. at this point, three Cult magi from the Followers of the Foetid Maw reveal themselves. From behind the throne, a huge Chaos Champion with immense girth steps forward. His name is Luwig von Blucher, far descendant of Pendrag. He scoffs ath the heroes valiant efforts and promises them despair and misery in the future. He does not lift a fat, rotten finger in the conflict but instead makes a getaway when the adventurers come closer to the throne.
Meanwhile Klaus uses powerful necromantic magic, a spell named The Gaze of Nagash, which sets Mandred's arm ablaze. A second casting sees Gotrak downed, his arm burnt to crisp from the elbow. He falls in a coma.
Just when everything seems lost, Felix finally manages a headshot with his bow. The necromancer is killed and any remaining minions slump lifeless to the floor.
