Laurelorn Forest lies at the northern coastline of the Empire of Man, home to reclusive communities of Wood Elves. While both Middenland and Nordland claim the forest as theirs, the Elves dare either to try to enforce their claim. It lies west of Salzenmund and the Silver Hills above it, and stretches west to the borders with the Wasteland.
The Elves of Laurelorn are isolationist, wanting to be left alone in the beautiful woods they have come to call home. Unlike Men, who seek to tame the lands in which they live, the Elves of Laurelorn regard the forest and its land as a living thing, something they should live in harmony with, something over which they feel protective. They do, however, recognise that Mankind provides the bulwark of the defence of their lands against Greenskins and Chaos, so they try not to antagonise the surrounding realms of the Empire, unless they try to establish dominion over Laurelorn itself.

Background
Solar Listerdildra was born on a bright winter day at noon in the great Glass city of Laurelorn Forest. His mother Elduroin Listerdildra was a powerful Light Mage Lord and a personal friend of the Queen. His father was whispered to be a High Mage from the White towers in the Kingdom of Ulthuan were his mother had long ago ventured to learn the highest forms of Magic. Only problem was that relationships between a teacher and student were forbidden within the ivory towers. So when she became pregnant she left the Ivory towers before anyone knew about it.
At the early age of five years old Solar started using petty magic, this was never seen before within a child this young and his mother nourished this secretly.
On the age of 16 he was already starting to learn lesser magic and by the time he became of age he was gifted his first grimoire of the school of light.
But then disaster struck. A powerful Daemon Prince decided to strike at the heart of the Elven Kingdon. With a well planned attack a hoard of powerful daemons was unleashed upon the heart of the forest, the city of glass, trying to kill the Elven Queen herself. The Royal Guard fiercely fought against the daemons but were overpowered in the end. Now only the Queens good friend Elduroin could save her. And so she tapped into all the magical winds surrounding her and for the first time used the necklace she had always worn her neck but never used given to her by Solars father. She managed to banish all daemons but one and then collapsed on the floor.
This last remaining daemon lifted up her body and Laughed: “ My prince will be pleased with this treasure and will amuse himself for eons to come” and then disappeared into the netherworld in a cloud of stinking smoke.
Solar was heartbroken and swore he would search for his mother until he found her or until he died. The next day he departed from his home but the Queen tried to stop him. As he could not be convinced to stay she handed him two wrapped bundles. “one of these gifts you should only open as a last reqort and the other is the last remainder of your father, the necklace your mother wore. Be safe my son and know that you will be in my thoughts forever”
Here his adventures began, crossing the whole empire trying to learn as much as he would about the Daemon Prince, whose name he didn’t even know, he set of for the border princes. Here he fought many daemons and other Chaos creatures but he could not get any information on the ware bouts of his beloved mother.
He did however receive news from the empire, that there had been many sightings of daemons and Chaos in the Empire lately and decided to head back to the Empire to fight this treat.
Following the trail of Chaos he arrived at Middenheim just after the great festival and heard about a band of Heroes who had Battled the great threat from within the city and even killing Claus Gurtelroos along with some powerful deamons.
But one, a Sigmarite named Otfried was about to be burned as he had become infested by Chaos. So he set of to witness this event.
